CAREER DAY 2 OF PROJECT V2WORK
On the morning of December 26th, 2020, in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Dinh Tien Hoang campus, Career Day 2 was jointly organized by the V2WORK’s Board of Management and Faculty of International Relations - HCM-USSH.
Career Day 2 was a major event among V2WORK’s third-year activities. Intending to create good conditions for students to meet the government organizations and companies, Career Day 2 allowed students to have job opportunities at university. Representatives of the HCM-USSH were Dr. Le Hoang Dung - Vice Chancellor, Dr. Bui Hai Dang - Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Dr. Tran Dinh Lam - Director of CVSEAS. In addition, there was a participation of Board of Management belonging to the state-owned business and private sector: Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh - Acting Director of the External Relation Office in HCM city, Ms. Dang Thi Chau Ngoc - TOPCV Southern Branch Manager, Mr. Nguyen Quang Nhut - Manager of Shojiki Company, Mr. Tran Van Lieng - Director General of Vinacacao company, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lua - Representative of Do Gia Architecture Construction company, and many other companies.
Students join in the conversation with the recruiters
The program “Meeting between students and recruiters” was organized openly, hence, students can deeply ask for job requirements as well as receive a suggestion in job orientation skill for their future. Responding to the question from many participants: “What elements do students need to have to attract the recruiter?”, the majority of speakers stressed the importance of attitude and proactiveness. Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh - Acting Director of the External Relation Office in HCM city shared: “Regardless of the state-owned business or private sector, each work environment has its own merits and demerits. The very first point is that employees have a good attitude, work hard, and dig in both specialist knowledge and social problems actively.”

Besides the main activities, there were feedback activities about student’s Curriculum Vitae. Those students received the assessment from the representative of TOPCV company and suggestions to improve their CV. At the end of Career Day 2, more than 40 undergraduate students attended the free interview with the companies.
